Where did it all start?
In 2021, on a windswept weekend in Wells-next-the-Sea with a bottle of wine and the standard fish and chips, I found myself staring out over the harbour thinking, surely holidaymakers deserve better than this? The place was lovely. The service? Not so much. Before the end of that trip, the seed for East Coast Hideaways was planted – a boutique agency offering handpicked hideaways, brilliant service, and a personal touch you don’t usually find in this industry.
Armed with a vision (and a lot of coffee), I launched the business with just two properties – and two owners who put their trust in me. Everything you now see – from the sleek branding to the curated property list – was built from the ground up, fuelled by a genuine passion for travel and an obsession with doing things properly.

Personally created a modern, well-structured, user-friendly website – better than many older competitors

Expanded into Scotland as well as Norfolk & Suffolk — because why the hell not?

Because we’ve grown faster than anyone expected – without cutting corners. We’ve built something bold, honest, and beautifully run – a brand that looks good, works hard, and gives guests exactly what they’re after: effortless, feel-good escapes with personality.
✨ Our Ethos
We only take on homes we’d personally holiday in. Full stop. We’re obsessed with charm, cleanliness, comfort, and character – and most of our properties are properly dog-friendly, too. Kids? Always welcome.We don’t just list homes – we support owners from start to finish. We manage hot tubs with a qualified changeover team, recruit housekeepers, carry out monthly spot checks, and ask all owners to provide hotel-grade linens and towels. Because the little details are everything.
🌍 Why this business?
It’s in my bones. My first job out of school was in travel. I’ve lived in Spain, visited half the Caribbean, worked in New Zealand and the Cook Islands, and eventually settled in Norfolk. That wanderlust is still alive – I just sometimes have to channel it into helping others find their perfect escape. Over the last 15 years, I’ve run a property management company, renovated homes from empty shells into styled holiday lets, and even handled hot tub installations, interior design consultations, and staging.
👩💻 The team
After going solo for the first year or so, I brought in a dream team of brilliant, hard-working mums, and in 2023, I brought a wonderful Colleage, David, on board to help me scale up. We moved into our cosy office at Wroxham Barns, built our systems, expanded our property list, and hit our stride.
In 2023, I even took on a side project as Campsite Consultant for Wroxham Barns – sourcing and designing new bell tents, creating a family-friendly glamping experience, and adding another feather to the tourism cap.

2023 was a hard year for the travel industry. Rather than hoard properties and compromise quality, we chose to scale back, focus in, and double down on what we do best: giving our existing owners unbeatable service, and our guests unforgettable holidays.
