Looking for the biggest “oohs”, “aahs” and cosy mulled-wine moments for Bonfire Night this year? We’ve done the leg-work for you and rounded up the top displays in Norfolk and Suffolk. Grab your wellies, fluff up the dog’s blanket, and let’s go.
1) We Love Fireworks – Wymondham Rugby Football Club
Friday 7 November 2025 | from 17:00
A proper Norfolk community night out — food stalls, live music, fairground rides, and a huge fireworks finale that never disappoints. It’s one of those “everyone knows about it” events that feels like the whole town shows up.
Where: Wymondham Rugby Football Club, Barnard Fields, off Bray Drive, Reeve Way, Wymondham NR18 0GQ
Why we love it: It’s everything a classic Bonfire Night should be — lively, local, and just the right level of chaos.
Tip: Bring cash for the food vendors; signal can be patchy once the crowds arrive.
2) Bonfire & Fireworks Display – Cringleford Recreation Ground
Friday 7 November 2025 | Bonfire 18:30 Fireworks ~19:30
Cringleford’s annual bonfire night is the perfect mix of cosy village charm and full-on fireworks fun. Expect two separate displays, a roaring bonfire, and a sizzling BBQ that fills the air with that unbeatable smoky-November smell.
Where: Cringleford Recreation Ground, Cringleford, Norwich
Why we love it: Great family vibe, easy access from Norwich, and the double-display keeps kids (and big kids) grinning.
Tip: Take cash for burgers and mulled wine — the queue moves faster that way.
3) Fawkes in the Walks – King’s Lynn
Friday 7 November 2025 | Event from 18:00 Fireworks ~20:00
King’s Lynn’s iconic Bonfire Night bash returns — and it’s completely free. Set in the beautiful parkland of The Walks, this huge community celebration draws thousands every year for an evening of food stalls, fairground rides, live music and, of course, a sky-filling firework display.
Where: The Walks, King’s Lynn
Why we love it: It’s Norfolk’s biggest free display, the atmosphere is electric, and you can easily make a full night of it.
Tip: Arrive early — the crowds build fast, and parking in town gets tight by 6:30.
4) Sparks on the Park – Dereham Town Football Club
Wednesday 5 November 2025 | Gates open 17:00 • Kids display ~18:30 • Main fireworks ~20:00
Expect family-friendly fun: outside bar, food vendors, funfair rides and special early fireworks for younger guests.
Where: Aldiss Park, Norwich Road, Dereham NR20 3PX
Why we love it: A proper community evening with double fireworks (early & main), perfect for families staying local.
Tip: Tickets include an adult + 1 free child under 16; child tickets available; under-5s free. Parking is limited and must be booked in advance (~£10).
5) Aylsham Community Fireworks Display – Woodgate Nursery
Friday 7 November 2025 | 17:00–22:00 • Kids display 18:30 • Main display 20:00
Aylsham’s annual fireworks night is everything you want from a proper local celebration — a huge bonfire, funfair, DJ, plenty of stalls with sweet treats, and two displays: one for little ears and one full-blown show for everyone else. It’s big enough to feel exciting but still has that warm community vibe.
Where: Woodgate Nursery, Aylsham, NR11 6UH
Why we love it: Two displays, loads of atmosphere, and all the charm of a Norfolk night out — mulled wine in one hand, sparkler in the other.
Tickets: £10 per adult (includes 1 free child), £5 per child (5–16), under-5s free.
Tip: Bring cash for the fairground and stalls — and wear your wellies, it’s a field event!
Saturday 8 November 2025 | from 17:00, fireworks ~19:00
An immersive countryside fireworks event with a touch of magic. Expect a massive display, street food, and plenty of sparkle. Early-bird adult tickets are £10, children (8–12) £5, and under-8s go free — prices rise in October, so plan ahead.
Where: Fenchanted Suffolk, Station Road, Lakenheath, Brandon IP27 9AB
Why we love it: It’s big, well-organised, and perfect for families staying nearby.
Tip: Wrap up warm — the open fields get chilly once the sun goes down.
7) Lowestoft & Yarmouth RUFC Firework Extravaganza – Corton
Saturday 8 November 2025 | 18:00 – 21:00
A family-friendly evening packed with fireworks, food and drink stalls, and a small funfair for the kids. Online-only tickets are £7 per person, under-5s free.
Where: Lowestoft & Yarmouth RUFC, Old Lane, Corton, Lowestoft NR32 5HE
Why we love it: Great community vibe, good food, and excellent value.
Tip: There’s no general parking at the venue, so plan to walk or get dropped off nearby.
8) Heveningham Hall Fireworks – Heveningham
Saturday 8 November 2025 | Gates open 16:30
A true showstopper in the Suffolk calendar — this is the county’s most spectacular display, set against the backdrop of the grand Heveningham Hall estate. Expect huge choreographed fireworks, live entertainment, a fairground, and plenty of great food and drink. It’s big, bold, and beautifully organised.
Where: Heveningham Hall, near Halesworth, IP19 0PN
Why we love it: It’s as close as Suffolk gets to a luxury firework festival — think mulled wine, live music, and dazzling displays reflected in the Hall’s lake.
Tip: Book early — tickets always sell out, and the drive in through the lit-up estate is half the fun.
9) Ipswich YM RUFC Fireworks – Ipswich
Tuesday 11 November 2025 | Gates open 18:00 Fireworks 19:30–20:30
If you’ve missed the earlier displays, Ipswich YM’s got you covered. A relaxed, friendly evening with all the good stuff — burgers, hot drinks, a gin bar (yes, please), and guest ales to warm you up while you wait for the sky to light up.
Where: Ipswich YM Rugby Club, The Street, Tuddenham Road, Ipswich IP4 3QJ
Why we love it: It’s a little later in the month, less manic, and perfect for extending those Bonfire Night vibes.
Tip: Bring a torch for the walk from the car park and an empty stomach — the food stalls are chef’s kiss.
Check tickets early: Many events sell out fast, and ticket prices/times may change in 2025.
Staying with us? Let your guests know of the top picks the moment they arrive — use the display list as a friendly add-on to your welcome pack.
Dog-safe zones: If Fido’s staying with you, steer towards lower-bang events (like Wroxham) or book a quieter spot in the garden at your hideaway with sparklers from the local shop!
Parking & arrival: Arrive early, pack hats & gloves, and bring a torch for dark country lanes.
Local options: Prefer staying in? Suggest a night-in at the holiday home with a mulled-wine station, fireworks-playlist and blankets by the fire. Guests will love you for the “alternative plan”.
