On arrival – There is parking for one car on the brick weave driveway right next to the house and a small shingle front garden area with driftwood features. From your car, you can either go through the side gate straight into the enclosed back garden or via the front door. There is also an electric EV charger on the driveway for use with prior consent.
Hallway – Dogs are welcome upstairs, but we’ve fitted a bespoke handmade dog/child gate that will stop even the tiniest chihuahuas from making it to the bed if you want it to yourself!
WC – Handy downstairs loo, toilet, basin, towel rail, and side window.
Kitchen – Lovely size, very light and airy with a view over the front courtyard, equipped with a full-sized fridge/freezer, induction hob, electric oven, washing machine/ tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, fancy bean-to-cup coffee maker, sandwich toaster and enough pots and pans, baking trays, cocktails shakers, utensils and crockery to open a small kitchenware shop!
Dining area – Part of an L-shaped Lounge/diner, this area has a rather unique zinc-topped dining table and leather chairs/bench with space for 4 to eat or play board games in comfort.

There’s a 50″ Samsung Smart TV with an adjustable wall bracket that allows you to angle it to watch TV from the dining area. A Dimplex Sunningdale electric stove is considered the world’s most realistic electric wood burner. It even makes crackling noises! You can have a cosy fire without the heat in summer; in winter, you don’t need to go out in the rain for logs! It’s also much safer for children and dogs. Patio doors lead out to the garden and hot tub.
Family bathroom – Upstairs, this has a large modern bath with shower over and glass screen, a toilet and sink with storage unit, heated towel rail, and Velux window.

Booking notes:
If your dog is prone to lots of barking, Heidi Corner might not be the best fit. We’re tucked into a peaceful residential spot with close neighbours. The calm setting is ideal for humans who want to unwind and for dogs who enjoy a relaxed environment, but it’s not suitable for very vocal or reactive pups.
We’re happy to welcome up to three well-behaved dogs as standard. If you’d like to bring more, just let us know, we may be able to accommodate them if they’re small and quiet.
Winterton-on-sea has a superb Fish & Chip shop, Poppies Tea room and cake shop, a well-stocked convenience store, Post Office, a great pub, and a very short walk from Heidi Corner.
To explore beyond the village, turn right up the beach, and Hemsby will give you all that a traditional English Seaside resort has to offer, with amusements, cafes, ice cream shops, an RNLI gift shop, and a decent pub. Turn left to experience a more tranquil nature walk, and you’ll find Horsey seal colony and the fabulous café at Waxham Barn. Further along the coast, you’ll reach Sea Palling and its Blue Flag beach, and if you follow your nose even further, you’ll get to Happisburgh and its iconic lighthouse.
Sometimes the only other mammals you’ll encounter are the coastline’s famous Grey Seals. Remember to look up for a glimpse of Norfolk’s wonderful birdlife, such as kestrels, skylarks, and little terns.
The bustling market town of Norwich is about 30 minutes away with its picturesque lanes, buzzy market, cultural displays and dining treats. And of course, there are our two famous Cathedrals and Norwich Castle, which the Normans built as a Palace over 900 years ago. It is now a museum and art gallery where children can discover more about East Anglia’s Queen Boudicca. The Museum of Norwich is packed full of exhibitions and interactive displays, or why not enjoy taking the hop-on-hop-off bus to see the city.
Not too far from Winterton is Great Yarmouth – a lively resort with an endless list of entertainment and places to eat – not forgetting the Pleasure Beach with its infamous Snail ride, a nine-acre amusement park, the Time and Tide Museum and the brilliant Hippodrome Circus – one of the last purpose-built circus buildings in the UK. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens is a must if you love animals, and Pettitts Animal Adventure Park has something to do with children of all ages.
Also not far away is Lowestoft, a fabulous seaside town with much entertainment, including the wonderful Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, the East Anglia Transport Museum, Africa Alive, Sparrow’s Nest and Gardens, the Marina Theatre and various other museums. There’s also an arcade on Claremont Pier with over 35 rides. If you fancy something more energetic, why not test your nerves at Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park. Set on 50 acres, the theme park has rides up to 50mph as well as water-based ones. Smaller children will enjoy the Flying Elephant ride and Big Train – there are also sea lion and parrot shows.
Wroxham – the heart of the broads, is the perfect place for boat tours, day boat hire, shopping, or to visit Wroxham Barns – a family adventure park with rides, animals, shopping, dining, a maize maze, and so much more – it’s also where our office is based so why not call in and say hi!
Our stay at Heidi Corner in Winterton on Sea was amazing!! The cottage was extremely clean and a nice surprise was a welcome basket had been left for us and our little dog. The interior design was beautiful. The surrounding area was stunning with lots of beach walks and the icing on the cake was the Seal Colony. East Coast Hideaways are very thorough with all paperwork and easy to contact, very impressed. Will definitely book again.
My husband and I stayed at Heidi cottage 9-16 October 2021 with our 2 x Labrador’s (Marley and Bear). WOW What can I say, the property was immaculate and there was everything you could think of that you would have in your own home. With the added bonus of the hot tub which was an absolute godsend after long walks. The dogs even had high quality dogbeds to sleep on, and boy did they need them After racing up and down the beach. We couldn’t believe how close we were to the dunes and the sea. Any queries the admin team were on it immediately. We will definitely be returning again. Thank you Karen for all of your help. In the words of ”Arnie” “we'll be back 👍👍 Thank you once again for a most amazing and needed holiday. Julia, David, Marley and Bear xx PS the dogs have only just recovered now
What a superb property! Heidi Corner had everything we wanted to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and some. The hosts were extremely accommodating and extremely efficient communicators. The hot tub is set up so perfectly. It’s almost magical with all of the twinkly lights and just what we needed after some long walks on the beach. We took our German Shepherd too. I don’t think I have ever been to a more dog friendly property. The garden is super enclosed which is exactly what we look for when choosing an AirBNB property. Heidi Corner is so close to the beach which was perfect to get straight out to with our poochie. We were also lucky enough to see seals on the beach during our stay. The local pub is lovely. The staff are really friendly. We also visited Poppy’s Tearoom for a hot chocolate and cake which were divine. We would highly recommend this property and hope to be back again in the not too distant future.
What a lovely house in a stunning location. You couldn't get closer to the beach if you tried. Perfect for dogs, very doggy friendly house and perfect to walk your dog along the sand dunes. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch and made us feel at home. Very clean and house was equipped with everything. Highly recommend and will be returning!
This was our second visit to this lovely little cottage because we loved it so much the previous year. We love the location, it’s perfect for miles of gorgeous dog walking on the beach, dunes or surrounding countryside. The hot tub is a great addition, tucked away in a lovely little private space in the garden. The accommodation has everything you could need for a comfortable stay
We stayed in Heidi Corner and had a wonderful time. Perfect accommodation, catering for everything you (and your dog) might need. Amazing location just steps away from coastal walks and a beautiful sandy beach, with local amenities on the doorstep offering the best fish & chips and traditional Norfolk cakes. Am sure we will be back, we loved it ….. especially Loki
