Nicholson Cottage is a rustic holiday home in the scenic village of Happisburgh, and the perfect base for families or friends. Sleeping up to four guests, this two-bedroom retreat blends character and comfort, with a spacious open-plan living area that’s made for kicking back after a day of coastal adventures.
Step into the central hallway, where the lounge, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom all branch off for an easy, homely layout.
Lounge & Dining: Relax in the open-plan lounge diner with ample sofa seating, a stone fireplace with electric fire, smart TV, and a dining table for four. It’s as cosy for movie nights as it is for long, lazy dinners.
Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need – microwave, fridge, glassware, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and all the essentials for tea and coffee. Start your day slow with a proper brew, or cook up a feast after the beach.
Bedrooms:
Master bedroom with a super king bed, dressing table, and clothes storage.
Twin bedroom with two full-size single beds, which can also be made into a super king on request.
Bathroom: Bright and modern, featuring a large walk-in shower, sink, toilet, hair dryer, and fluffy bath sheets.
Step out into the peaceful private sun-trap garden – a lovely space to soak up the tranquillity, listen to the birds, or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.

Nestled on the 90-mile Norfolk coastline, Happisburgh (pronounced Haze-bruh) is a village full of character. Famous for its red-and-white striped lighthouse – the last independently operated lighthouse in the UK – and its dog-friendly sandy beach, it’s a place where history and natural beauty meet. The coastline here is part of the Deep History Coast, where fossilised human footprints over 850,000 years old were discovered – the oldest evidence of humans outside Africa!
