Winterton Project
The owner of this lovely two-bedroom property in Winterton trusted us with the keys right after purchase. She’s a busy business owner who lives a bit far away, so needed someone reliable to handle things.
In the following three months, we worked our magic: fresh paint, stylish furniture, a dreamy hot tub, a custom-made pergola, and even a handmade stair gate. Working closely with the owner, we added those special touches, got all the must-have items, and made sure the furniture arrived on time. The garden also got a complete makeover just in time for the first guests. We were so committed that we even moved in temporarily to oversee the final touches for the last two weeks!
And it didn’t stop there. We installed an EV charger and underfloor heating, upgraded the outdoor plumbing, and set up new tank and garden plumbing. We even added outdoor lighting to keep the place looking magical after dark. We’re dedicated to keeping things top-notch, managing rentals, and taking care of everything from decorating to repairs, waste management, gardening, laundry, and changeovers.
North Norfolk Project
The owners of this stunning three-bedroom property near the North Norfolk Coast reached out to us just before Christmas 2022. They had a vision of transforming their beloved second home into a coastal getaway for guests but needed extra time to manage it themselves. That’s where we stepped in with a plan.
Our first order of business was revamping the garden entirely and carefully packing away all personal belongings. We then tackled painting rooms, hanging pictures and mirrors, and ordering new sofa covers. The cleaning and sprucing-up stage followed, which, strangely enough, we thoroughly enjoyed.
Once the house was ready for guests, we showcased it on our marketing platforms and took charge of the entire process from start to finish, providing a complete turnkey service for the absent owners.
Garden Cottage - Bacton
Just a few hundred yards from the beach, Garden Cottage in Bacton is a beautiful Grade II listed thatched cottage with history woven into its walls. Its owner had a clear vision: to transform it into a luxurious holiday retreat – and over the span of twelve months, we worked alongside her to make that dream a reality.
From the very beginning, we were based on-site, turning the reception room into our office while we assessed the cottage’s condition and created a step-by-step renovation roadmap. Every day was hands-on: planning, overseeing, and keeping the project moving forward.
As a Grade II listed building, the restoration required meticulous care. Interior and exterior works were needed to bring the cottage up to modern standards while preserving its historic charm. The Annexe barn, which we set out to convert into a one-bedroom holiday lodge, posed its own set of architectural and logistical challenges.
To make it all possible, we brought in a team of specialists – landscapers, horticulturists, mortar experts, and conservationists – each playing a role in tackling the cottage’s unique structural needs.
Working with an interior designer, we devised plans to convert the Annexe barn into a luxurious holiday lodge, create themed bedroom suites, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and design immersive outdoor spaces, including a Norwegian spa, summer house, and a built-in BBQ/dining area
While the full project sadly didn’t reach completion, in those twelve months we made remarkable progress. Garden Cottage was not just a renovation; it was a labour of love that called for vision, grit, and collaboration. It remains one of the most memorable projects we’ve ever been a part of.
Wroxham Barns Camping and Glamping
In February 2023, I was invited to take on the role of Acting Lead Consultant and Project Manager for Wroxham Barns Limited’s camping season. The brief was ambitious: deliver a fully operational glamping and camping site in time for peak season, within a budget close to 95k.
My responsibilities were broad and hands-on, covering every stage of the project. From procurement and inventory management to site design, decoration, and layout, I oversaw the complete setup of the site. Alongside this, I managed staffing arrangements, implemented smooth guest check-in processes, and kept a close handle on all financials.
A key deliverable was the acquisition and setup of 10 brand-new bell tents, which I sourced, purchased, and styled with high-quality décor and accessories to create a standout guest experience. I also designed and marked out a dedicated field for 20 grass pitches, balancing practical layout with aesthetic appeal and operational efficiency.
Beyond the physical setup, I created the full arrival brochure and guest information pack, wrote the terms & conditions, and produced both floor plans and aerial site plan illustrations to guide visitors and streamline operations.
The project demanded both creative vision and meticulous project management. By combining the two, I ensured the site not only met operational requirements but also offered an elevated guest experience that reflected Wroxham Barns’ reputation for quality.
