Lounge: The lounge area comprises a large and comfy sofa with stylish matching armchair, cosy rugs, cushions and throws, ample side lighting and smart TV. There’s an electric stove, which is perfect as you can have a cosy fire without the heat in summer, and in winter you don’t need to go out in the rain for logs! It’s also much safer for children and dogs.

Dining area – from the lounge there is a very generous dining room which has a wooden table and chairs with seating for 6 people, a sideboard, new artwork and has been newly fitted with double patio doors which lead directly out to the garden.

Family bathroom – This lovely fresh family bathroom offers a toilet, sink, bath with shower over bath, heated towel rail, tiled floor and window.

Kitchen – From the dining area you enter a decent sized and well equipped modern user friendly kitchen with ample storage space and food preparation area, a view over the back garden courtyard, under counter fridge with small freezer compartment, gas hob and oven, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, toaster and ample pots and pans, baking trays, utensils and crockery.

Utility  – The separate utility area leading from the kitchen houses a second fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, with an entrance to the downstairs family bathroom

Master bedroom – The very generous main bedroom features a large front facing window with curtains and blinds, a wrought iron double bed, new mattress and bedding, radio alarm clock with phone charging facility, wood panelled walls, a suitcase stand, quirky bedside tables and lamps, a wooden trunk ideal for bag storage, a full length mirror, wardrobe and drawer space, and a wall mounted smart tv and DVD player.

Second bedroom – At the top of the stairs is the second bedroom, with a brand new double bed and bedding, wall mounted smart TV and DVD player, phone charging radio alarm clock, bedside tables with lamps, modern clothes hanging area with shelf and hangers. There is also a rear-facing window with blinds and curtains.

Third bedroom – The smallest of the rooms houses a new divan single bed, large opening window, wall mounted smart TV and DVD player, open wall mounted hanging clothes rail and shelf, coastal artwork and a bedside table with drawers.

WC – Added bonus of a lovely little WC with sink and toilet upstairs too.

Outside – The fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing all around, it is very safe for children and dogs to run around and play, and has a patio area with a bistro dining set, coal bbq, grassed area with flower border, a large custom made wooden seating area with comfy cushions and table and solar powered LED and festoon lighting giving that added magical touch. The perfect place to while away those balmy summer evenings with a glass of wine, after a long day at the gorgeous local beaches

Pakefield & the local area

Situated on the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast and only twenty minutes from both Beccles and Southwold, this home is the perfect base for exploring the Suffolk countryside and coastline. Close to a beautiful sandy beach that is not only dog friendly but you can also fish as well as sunbathe. Less than a 10 minute drive away is Oulton Broads, part of the Norfolk Broads National Park where you can hire a boat, fish (license required) or just sit back and watch the world go by.

Pakefield is the site of one of the earliest known areas of human habitation in the United Kingdom. A gorgeous coastal village sat at the top of a dramatic cliff, with a panoramic view out to the North Sea. Pakefield is a quaint suburb of Lowestoft with an identity all of its own. Echoes of Pakefield’s maritime past are all around, from the little fishermen’s cottages to the diminutive 19th century lighthouse, your imagination will be captivated by this peaceful and understated historic coastal gem. Pebbled and rustic, strewn with patches of Marram grass and the ideal place for a dog walk or family day out. You might even spot a seal bobbing around or keeping an eye on you on the shore.

The pretty beach huts that line the promenade are privately owned, but some are available to hire, should you wish to enjoy a taste of Suffolk seaside life. There are a number of shops, a theatre and a cinema, as well as plenty of places to dine and drink while watching the sun go down – the perfect end to the perfect day.

It’s also an excellent location for exploring the beautiful Suffolk towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Thorpeness, & Dunwich as well as the bustling market towns of Beccles & Bungay. There is also plenty to occupy the little ones, active ones & those who just want to chill out & watch the world go by!

Local activities include sailing, kitesurfing, paddle boarding, wind surfing, bird watching, walking, fishing and canoeing to name a few.  If you’re looking to explore a bit further afield, Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, is a secret hideaway with four miles of woodland walks, plants and wildlife. The gardens are a hotspot for rare birds. You can also hop aboard Primrose, the garden’s Edwardian style river cruiser and glide along the river for 50 minutes while catching a glimpse of the historic ruins of St Benet’s Abbey.

The bustling market town of Norwich is about 45 minutes away with its picturesque lanes, buzzy market, cultural displays and dining treats. And of course there are our two famous Cathedrals and Norwich Castle, which was built by the Normans as a Palace over 900 years ago. It is now a  museum and art gallery where children can discover more about East Anglia’s own Queen Boudicca.  The Museum of Norwich is packed full of exhibitions and interactive displays, or why not enjoy taking the hop-on-hop-off bus to see the city.

Not too far from Pakefield is Great Yarmouth – a lively resort with an endless list of entertainment and places to eat – not forgetting the Pleasure Beach with its infamous Snail ride, a nine acre amusement park, the Time and Tide Museum and the brilliant Hippodrome Circus – one of the last purpose built circus buildings in the UK. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens is a must if you love animals, and Pettitts Animal Adventure Park has something to do with children of all ages.

Not far away is Lowestoft, a fabulous seaside town with much entertainment including the wonderful Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, the East Anglia Transport Museum, Africa Alive, Sparrow’s Nest and Gardens, the Marina Theatre and various other museums.  There’s also an arcade on Claremont Pier with over 35 rides.  If you fancy something a bit more energetic, why not test your nerves at Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park. Set in 50 acres, the theme park has rides up to 50mph as well as water based ones. Smaller children will enjoy the Flying Elephant ride and Big Train – there are  also sea lion and parrot shows.

Wroxham – the heart of the broads, is the perfect place for boat tours, day boat hire, shopping, or to visit Wroxham Barns – a family adventure park with rides, animals, shopping, dining, a maize maze, and so much more – it’s also where our office is based so why not call in and say hi!

This house is very comfortable & well equipped and superbly positioned, just two minutes walk from the stunning Pakefield beach, where I was lucky enough to see some spectacular sunrises. We weren’t on holiday but it gave us a very comfortable & enjoyable respite from the stress of moving/ not having a permanent home. It was a lovely place to relax & unwind.
