Downstairs Hallway – The hallway has wall hooks for outdoor gear and a shoe rack for outdoor shoes.
The bathroom – has a modern suite with a bath with an – over – the – bath – shower. sink and toilet. Come out of the bathroom and go forward into the

The dining area in the conservatory (with a lovely view over the garden) has a dining suite seating up to four and another smaller occasional table.
Please note that the stairs are quite steep. There is a stair banister and grip handles on the wall if you wish to use them.

King bedroom – This spacious room has a king bed with bedside cabinet, drawers and wardrobe, bedside lamps and view out over garden. There are NEW blackout blinds for a lovely nights sleep!
Garden – Here there is a new patio area with comfortable outdoor seating. There is a hose for washing dogs in the courtyard. The garden is fully fenced all the way round to the height of 5.5 feet as well as the side exit gate, so it is very secure and dog friendly. The exit gate is padlocked too for extra security. Come back into the conservatory and go right through the house back to the main door.
For the dogs – Snowdrop is situated in a slightly quieter area of Winterton village, in a residential street so there is more activity than in a very rural location. The garden is very secure with 5-6 feet high fencing all around. There are neighbours on both sides and there it is likely that there will be dogs in the cottages on either side so please be aware of this (in case of fence chasers or noise reactive dogs). There is also a side gate (full height too) from the alley into the garden directly, rather than going through the house (if you choose – handy when coming back from the beach). The garden is accessed via the conservatory patio doors and dogs can be seen clearly/supervised from the conservatory and living room. It is a 5 min walk out of Chapel Road and to the right to access the dunes. This is by far the quietest way to access the beach, but you can choose to go via the centre of the village. What is provided?
Winterton-on-sea has a superb Fish & Chip shop, Poppies Tea room and cake shop, a well-stocked convenience store, Post Office, a great pub, and a very short walk from Heidi Corner.
To explore beyond the village, turn right up the beach, and Hemsby will give you all that a traditional English Seaside resort has to offer, with amusements, cafes, ice cream shops, an RNLI gift shop, and a decent pub. Turn left to experience a more tranquil nature walk, and you’ll find Horsey seal colony and the fabulous café at Waxham Barn. Further along the coast, you’ll reach Sea Palling and its Blue Flag beach, and if you follow your nose even further, you’ll get to Happisburgh and its iconic lighthouse.
Sometimes the only other mammals you’ll encounter are the coastline’s famous Grey Seals. Remember to look up for a glimpse of Norfolk’s wonderful birdlife, such as kestrels, skylarks, and little terns.
The bustling market town of Norwich is about 30 minutes away with its picturesque lanes, buzzy market, cultural displays and dining treats. And of course, there are our two famous Cathedrals and Norwich Castle, which the Normans built as a Palace over 900 years ago. It is now a museum and art gallery where children can discover more about East Anglia’s Queen Boudicca. The Museum of Norwich is packed full of exhibitions and interactive displays, or why not enjoy taking the hop-on-hop-off bus to see the city.
Not too far from Winterton is Great Yarmouth – a lively resort with an endless list of entertainment and places to eat – not forgetting the Pleasure Beach with its infamous Snail ride, a nine-acre amusement park, the Time and Tide Museum and the brilliant Hippodrome Circus – one of the last purpose-built circus buildings in the UK. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens is a must if you love animals, and Pettitts Animal Adventure Park has something to do with children of all ages.
Also not far away is Lowestoft, a fabulous seaside town with much entertainment, including the wonderful Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, the East Anglia Transport Museum, Africa Alive, Sparrow’s Nest and Gardens, the Marina Theatre and various other museums. There’s also an arcade on Claremont Pier with over 35 rides. If you fancy something more energetic, why not test your nerves at Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park. Set on 50 acres, the theme park has rides up to 50mph as well as water-based ones. Smaller children will enjoy the Flying Elephant ride and Big Train – there are also sea lion and parrot shows.
Boating Adventures: Wroxham is synonymous with boating, and a visit wouldn’t be complete without exploring the waterways aboard a boat. Numerous boat hire services offer a range of vessels from traditional wooden cruisers to contemporary motorboats. Glide along the serene rivers and broads, discovering hidden nooks, quaint villages, and abundant wildlife. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or a first-time boater, Wroxham provides the perfect setting for aquatic adventures.
Bure Valley Railway: Take a step back in time with a ride on the Bure Valley Railway, a narrow-gauge steam railway between Wroxham and Aylsham. Marvel at the scenic countryside as you enjoy a leisurely journey through charming stations and across picturesque landscapes.
Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden are a few miles from the house, a secret hideaway with four miles of woodland walks, plants and wildlife. The gardens are a hotspot for rare birds. You can also hop aboard Primrose, the garden’s Edwardian-style river cruiser and glide along the river for 50 minutes while catching a glimpse of the historic ruins of St Benet’s Abbey.
Whitlingham Broad is a watersports haven that will keep the family happy not too far from Wroxham. Canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, and sailing are available, or you can go for a good old-fashioned open-water swim.
